EPHEMERAL TRIBUTARY
Site # MY - 22

Site Location

This site is located 19.9 miles east of the intersection of I-90 and 384 (south of Hardin).

Site Discussion

This site is roughly similar in magnitude and morphology to the tributary to Hollowwood Creek site. The draw has a nearly flat grass and sage covered bottom, as does Hollowwood Creek. This site, however, has considerably more grass growing on it, and does not have a gully forming in it. This site is also used for pasture, but is not as heavily grazed as Hollowwood Creek. Steep banks (particularly the south west-facing ones on the left bank) are half bare, half vegetated. Some rill development is apparent (about 0.05 meter spacing).

Site # MY - 22 was surveyed 5 September 1975.

Description of Benchmarks

Angles determined by a Brunton are followed by a (B), all others derived from plane table data. Distances determined with a tape are followed by a (T), all others found using the alidade. The rod is touching the alidade side of the survey point, and is centered. Compass compensation is 15.5°.

See Table 1.
